So while I am not level 10 yet to see how the Hero Quest work with unlocking other skin tints, I do believe that you get all 3 of the tints when you buy a skin. Here is me hovering over the tint selector for the Rainbow Pony which I bought yesterday

What this means is you still have to unlock the other tints but you don’t have to pay anymore money. This is really cool for the long term as you get more bang for your buck. I will write up a more detailed article on how much you will be able to get out of this game without spending a dime once I unlock all the quest.
