You will be able to unlock all the champs with the in-game currency (gold) too though, right?

    • Linden says:

Lets hope.. But we know Bli$$ard right? =~~

      • Stinglock says:

Yeah, greedy bastards want to make money. I don’t get where it all goes, it only takes one person to make and maintain games like this and they can fire them after release….. RIGHT?????

        • Cole Thomas Sotirakis says:

yeah cuz you know, other games that do it aren’t successful at all *cough* LoL *cough*. That’s a BS excuse but keep on keeping on fanboy. If blizz doesn’t make all heroes available for in game currency then i wont play it.

          • Krazyito says:

Well if you look at each picture you can see that there is a “gold” charge for each as well.. So yes, they will be available for in-game currency

    • Taffer says:

Yes you can, you get gold by doing quest and dailies

    • Ryan A. Meeks says:

Yes it was said that ALL heroes can be acquired via gold.

  2. Brandon P. Wincek says:

Are you all serious do you not see the gold amount RIGHT by the Real Money Price? open your eyes before you go on a greedy bastards rampage

    • Tadej Lasic says:

10k gold for a hero sounds like it will be very grindy, unless you get like 1k gold per quest.

      • Zlati says:

I don’t think the quests will give more than 10 gold each. So yeah there will be grind, not that there is no in LoL. Fair enough.

        • Marcus Idenäs says:

What i saw yesterday, a quest gave you 2k, and winning gives you 500, dunno bout losing.

          • Zlati says:

            nice

          • Henrique Greco says:

There are once in a lifetime quests that gives you like 2k or 1k gold… but i’ve only soe 2 of them till today…

You receive 30 gold for a victory and 20 gold for a defeat.
You can also make a daily quest, that rewards you with 200 gold.

Ignoring dailies, you could buy a “9,99 hero” for every 333 wins or 500 defeats. That’s not grindy, that’s sadism imo.

It’s an awesome game tough, so i won’t bother playing only with the free rotation ones for now.

          • Robin Huber says:

got an 800 old quest today aswell, and most of the heroes cost less than 10k gold ^^

  3. Linmoriel says:

How much gold can you earn from quests, dailies, etc, per day? How many days/matches will I have to play to earn each tier of heroes? I’d love a revenue breakdown to accompany this post.

  4. Adam Butler says:

Blizzard said that this would be free for those of us that already had SC2… This seems like some pretty horrible bait and switch.

    • Jimmy Blocksom says:

The base game is free, just like Hearthstone. If you’re referencing to things they’ve said when Heroes was first announced years ago, the intention was to make it a mod inside SC2. This is obviously no longer the case and is a separate game.

It’s still 100% free to play and will only require a battle.net account to play.

      • Adam Butler says:

It’s been a while since I’ve taken statistics, but I’m pretty sure that this isn’t “100% free”.

        • Jimmy Blocksom says:

You can unlock everything gameplay wise through gameplay and spend $0. That’s free.

    • Delmin says:

That was when the game was still Blizzard Dota, man. That was at least like 3 years ago. Since then they’ve kind of made it into its own game, instead of just being a SC2 map.

      • Adam Butler says:

If someone promises you something for free, then tells you to keep waiting- makes you wait for YEARS- then says it’s not free anymore, that’s lying.

        • Delmin says:

They never promised that, though. They just said that was a possible business option they were considering. But seeing as the game is no longer a mod in the SC2 arcade, they can’t really do that anymore. Well, I mean they can, but then people who don’t play SC2 would get pissed off and such and say it’s favoritism etc.

Also, when they were considering that option, they never said that they’d give out the whole game for “100% free”, and that you’d only get some heroes unlocked for free if you had Wings of Liberty and some more if you had Heart of the Swarm, but not the entire roster forever.

          • Adam Butler says:

They didn’t say that they were “considering an option” they said it would be a free mod, right alongside games like Star Jeweled, Aiur Chef, and Left 2 Die.

          • Ryan A. Meeks says:

It’s still 100% free to play. Also things change an evolve. Obviously now the project is much bigger than a map on SC2. Go be butt hurt else where. Blizzard doesn’t owe you jack, stop feeling entitled.

          • Adam Butler says:

Okay, I know math is simple, but this is not “100% free”. This is offering a small demo for free. And as for being entitled, I don’t think you know what that word means. Blizzard owes the community what it promised the community. This is bait and switch, plain and simple.

          • Ryan A. Meeks says:

You’re bluntly retarded. Stop typing. You can play 100% of the game for 100% free. I don’t think you know what FREE means.

          • Adam Butler says:

Your arguments have been defeated, so you’ve resorted to name calling? That may work on the playground, but that’s not how a proper debate works.

            170 USD =/= 0 USD

          • Ryan A. Meeks says:

Defeated because a troll said so?This was never a “proper debate” because you’re flat wrong, without wiggle room. You CAN spend money, but you don’t HAVE to spend money, If you choose to play for free, it is free, if you choose to pay, it will cost. Playing the full game without paying a cent = free. You’re done, you’re finished, you lost, stfu.

          • Adam Butler says:

The guy who thinks 170 USD = free and has resorted to name calling calls me a troll… Ironic.

            Here, study these a bit:

Farewell for now, I hope you adopt a more scholarly attitude in the future.

          • Ryan A. Meeks says:

Playing 100% of the game and not paying anything = free, there is no argument to that period. That’s why you are not talking on the subject anymore and instead off spewing shit from your fingertips.

  5. TheMasterDS says:

    Full price is $171

  6. Naasir Namooya says:

    how to buy a hero???

  7. Jackaner says:

WHY JUST TELL ME WHY!….Why always moba needs to have heroes that cost gold…Why they think it is better?…i would have agreed for it if they were equal in cost and with basic characters that are ALWAYS free…but not this goddman way!…I just think all moba games love to copy paste LoL and HoN system…Wanted to play it, but now I think its worthless to do…
