Spyrian announced that on Tuesday, April 7th they will be removing the ability to purchase the Founder’s Pack.

We’re currently planning to disable Battle Bundle and Founder’s Pack purchases on Tuesday, April 7, but we’ll be sure to post another reminder before that happens. It’s also important to note that players who already own Founder’s Pack will be unaffected by this change; we will simply be removing the ability for new players to purchase this item.

If you just can’t wait any longer for a testing invite, you may wish to pick up the Founder’s Pack before it warps out of the Nexus for good. After next week, you’ll want to make sure you’ve opted into Heroes testing in Battle.net account management, and be sure to ask your friends (nicely!) if they’ve received a beta key that they’re willing to send your way.

For those of you who don’t remember, the Founder’s Pack was added as an opportunity for people to “buy” their way into the beta when they were having difficulty obtaining keys elsewhere or weren’t lucky enough to get flagged for Beta access through their Battle.net account.

This pack includes several perks to get you started in-game:

  • Access to the Beta
  • 2,500 gold to get you started
  • Permanent access to Diablo, Raynor, and Tyrande
  • A bonus skin for each of the characters provided by the pack
    • Lurkablo for Diablo
    • Commander Raynor
    • Blood Elf Tyrande
  • The Golden Cyber Wolf Mount

If you were planning on purchasing the pack but haven’t done so yet, don’t wait until Tuesday as the post doesn’t provide a time it will be removed.

It will be interesting to see if they offer something similar to this in the future.
