to sign up to receive news and special offers from Blizzard Entertainment!

Today the World of Warcraft Twitter account (@Warcraft) sent out a message to anyone who is not currently in the Heroes of the Storm Closed Beta test.

The message: Opt into marketing emails.

In your Battle.net Communication Preferences page at the very bottom, there are two checkboxes which allow Blizzard to send you different types of emails.

The second box allows them to send you emails with status updates on any Support Tickets you may enter.

The first (and relevant in this case) box allows them to send you emails with News and Special Offers. I’m not normally one to encourage opening yourself up for potential spam, but I’ve got this box checked in my preferences and it’s pretty rare that I get something I’m not interested in. Beta keys, free game time, Gear Store sales, etc.

So check out your Communication Preferences using the link in the tweet, or if you’re not sure about clicking links just go directly to the Battle.net website and make sure you’re signed up for those emails. There’s no guarantee you’ll receive a key but it definitely never hurts to try.
