Blizzard released a new blog today highlighting upcoming rewards for Diablo III players who chose to venture into the Nexus.  Most of these promotions have been mentioned previously in the recent PTR Patch Notes, but as we all know not everyone reads patch notes, especially when they are for the PTR.

Here are the key points for those who may have missed it:

• Immediately following the next patch, which will likely be released this week, players who own Diablo III will receive the Diablo Hero upon logging into Heroes of the Storm.  This promotion only lasts until 10:00 a.m. PST on September 8th, so don’t delay.
• Heroes of the Storm players who reach account level 12 will be rewarded in Diablo III with a unique pennant and banner.  We are not sure when this item will be unlocked, it is simply labeled coming soon.
• Starting with Season 4, Diablo III players who reach level 70 with a Seasonal Character will be awarded the ominous Malthael’s Phantom mount in Heroes of the Storm.  If you are a Heroes player who has been considering giving D3 a shot, this may be the final push you need.

It is important to note that all of these promotions are limited to PC and Mac Diablo III players.   The blog concludes with reminders of previous cross game promotions for Hearthstone and World of Warcraft.

PLAY DIABLO III AND REAP THE BENEFITS IN THE NEXUS

After teaming up with World of Warcraft and Hearthstone to provide you with epic in-game rewards, we’ve decided to brave the dangerous landscape of Sanctuary to bring exciting new goodies to Diablo III players who venture into the Nexus.

Immediately following the next Heroes patch, any player who owns Diablo III on PC or Mac will permanently receive the Diablo Hero in Heroes of the Storm for free after logging into Heroes of the Storm. This promotion will only last until 10:00 a.m. PDT on September 8, so be sure to keep your eyes on the official Heroes of the Storm website to make sure you don’t miss the chance to claim the Lord of Terror for your Hero collection!

Also coming soon, PC and Mac Diablo III players who reach level 12 in Heroes of the Storm will be rewarded with a pennant and unique portrait border. Additionally, PC/Mac Diablo III players brave enough to reach level 70 with a Seasonal Hero, starting with Season 4, will be able to claim the shadowy Malthael’s Phantom mount in Heroes of the Storm!

As a reminder, dedicated World of Warcraft and Hearthstone players are also eligible to earn sweet in-game items in Heroes of the Storm. For more information on how you can get your hands on the Hearthstone Card mount and the Ironside Direwolf, click the images below.
