New Heroes confirmed: Li-Ming the Wizard and Xul the Necromancer

by - 8 years ago

Looks like Blizzard will be playing up the Diablo hype. Dustin Browder confirmed in an interview with Razer, that Heroes of the Storm will be getting two new Diablo themed Heroes.

First up we have Li-Ming the Wizard.

Her abilities are based around skill shots, she will be mana constrained with short cool downs and short term affects. She is slated to be a high (if not the highest) skill cap hero.

Trait Critical Mass: Resets all cooldowns even heroics when she kills or assists in a kill

Magic Missile: Aimed at a target point, requires you to figure out where the enemy will be not just what direction

Arcane Orb: long range moderate moving, gains more damage the farther you are away

Teleport: short range jump to and maneuver on a short cool down

Heroic: Disintegration beam, sweeping long range damage

Heroic: Wave of Force: remotely detonate telekinetic bomb and pushes players around

Some talents that can be chosen: Archon, Arcane Orbs and Diamond Skin

Possible builds: Magic Missile Mid range build, Arcane Orb High damage more skill based, Teleport build jumping into battle with explosive entrance

liming-featured

Secondly we have the much requested, Xul the Necromancer from Diablo II.

Necromancer

Xul will be a Melee Specialist. You are going to want to get in close and disrupt the enemy team with a combo of debuffs, roots, and high damage skills.

Trait: Raise Skeletons from dead minions

Spectral Scythe: Reverse skill shot, you get to pick were the Scythe will start at. It will then boomerang back to Xul.

Curse strike: Basic attack becomes area affect cursing enemies with 50% less attack speed.

Bone Armor: Gives Xul 25% extra health as a shield for 3 seconds.

Bone Prison: Root target close range enemy. The enemy then has 2 seconds to choose where they get rooted.

Heroic Poison Nova: Area affect spreads out around Xul. High Damage.

Heroic Skeletal Mages: Wall of Skeletal Mages, creates a line that slows at a distance.

Possible builds: Skeleton build split pusher, Spectral Scythe Curse enemies

Necromancer2

This is just some preliminary info. We will keep you updated as we get more details.

Hmm mage sound good ,but Necro is what I’m looking forward to, although I was hoping golems will be a pat of his kit, and a bit more summons, for example like Azmodan. Because you know, he’s a necromancer…
