Heroes of the Dorm Pledges Fun

by - 8 years ago

Heroes of the Dorm may have officially begun in February, but the action really heats up this weekend with the start of Bracket Play. The final 64 teams have been seeded in true March Madness style and will battle it out over the next few weeks to determine the best collegiate Heroes of the Storm team. Part of what makes this event so unique is that it will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks, in addition to all of the usual places that tournaments are streamed.

Dorm Sched

If you missed the Bracket Reveal Show and have access to ESPN you can see it in it’s entirety on the Watch ESPN app. If you don’t have ESPN, there is an abbreviated version available on YouTube.

Watching the games is great, but one of the best parts of this event is that you can play along from home by completing a bracket and trying to predict who the winners will be. Not only does this make the games more compelling by giving you a rooting interest, but there are also cool prizes for participating. Everyone who fills out a bracket will receive a brand new Heroes of the Dorm player portrait. Additionally, the top 500 bracket entries will receive the new Azmodunk bundle, and the person with the most accurate bracket will walk away with $10,000. Brackets must be completed by March 18th. If you would like to participate simply click here. Whether you do hardcore research or pick teams based on their colors, you should definitely take the time to fill out a bracket.

Dorm Prizes

The Heroic Four will be held in Seattle, Washington on April 9th and 10th at the Centurylink Field Event Center. Admission is free and everyone who attends will receive an Azmodunk bundle. If you are not able to attend in person you can watch all of the action from home on ESPN2.

Don’t be fooled by the wacky team names, there will be some amazing games in tournament. There are several well known pros scattered throughout the different teams, and you can bet that a few lesser known players will make a name for themselves in this event as well. More information can be found at the official Heroes of the Dorm website.
