Patch Notes TLDR: Unranked Draft

Hate reading patch notes, but still want to know what’s happening in Heroes of the Storm? Patch Notes TLDR has you covered.
While the main focus of this patch is the revamp to Ranked Play, many players will be happy to hear that an Unranked Draft mode is being added to the game. Sitting somewhere between Quick Match and Ranked Play, the new Unranked Draft mode will provide the ability for players to build more structured team comps in casual play.
Don’t feel like dealing with the pressure of Hero League, but looking for more control over your team comp than QM gives you? Unranked Draft is the mode for you! There are no party size restrictions in Unranked Draft, so it also opens up the option to draft for teams with three or four players. Going forward, Unranked Draft will have a separate MMR, but your initial MMR will be based on your QM MMR.
New Play Mode: Unranked Draft
- Unranked Draft is a new game mode that will feature a pick and ban system identical to Hero League.
- There will be no party size restrictions in this new game mode.
- Unranked Draft Mode will have its own unique MMR (Matchmaking Rating).
- Initial Unranked Draft MMR will be seeded from current Quick Match MMR. Find out more about this in the MMR Seeding section under System Changes.
- You can find more information on Unranked Draft in this blog post.
