Heroes of the Storm Fall Championship Semifinal 1 MVP Black vs Fnatic Recap SPOILERS

Fall Championship Semifinal 1 has come and gone and we here at Blizzpro have a re-cap for you on how it all played out. Recaps contain Spoilers.

MVP Black(Korea) vs Fnatic(EU)

Game 1.

Map:Tomb of the Spider Queen

Bans: Malfurion, Alarak, Gul’dan, Li-Ming

MVP Black Draft: Valla(Sake), Muradin(Sign), Auriel(Merryday), Chen(Rich), Falstad(Kyocha)

Fnatic Draft: E.T.C.(Breez), Tychus(Quakniix), Xul(Schwimpi), Leoric(Wubby), Rehgar(SmX)

The game starts with both team doing 4 man rotations between top and mid lane.  At 6:18 there are still no deaths and Fnatic turns in their final gems for Webweavers. 1 for 1 trade at the 7:34 mark causing Chen to lose 30+ gems. 7:46 MVP turns in gems for Webweavers. At 9:42 Fnatic gets another turn in for their 2nd round of Webweavers.  MVP black loses both Top and Mid Forts on the push. At 12:18 Fnatic gets their 3rd Webweaver turn in and kills Muradin following up with a bottom fort take down. A long pause takes place for what looks like a technical issue. Game resumes at 13:48 with Fnatic pushing bottom and taking a camp. Big time Ancestral at 14:36 saving Leoric. 15:18 MVP gets their second Webweaver turn and Fnatic follows it up with a kill on Chen. Leroic gets kill at the 7:18 mark and MVP Black follows up with their 3rd Webweaver turn in. MVP pushes forward and takes down all 3 forts. Another pause happens due to more technical issues. Game resumes at 20:01 and Fnatic promptly turns in gems for their 4th Webweaver turn in. Fnatic gets a 2-0 team fight and takes a massive wave mid getting the Keep and moves towards the Core. Fnatic backs off at 21:03 after a good Gust from Falstad. 22:47 Fnatic sneaks taking boss and a huge fight breaks out in the throw pit. MVP Black takes a 3-0 team fight and the race is on as they march towards the Core. MVP Takes the mid keep out and over extends into a 5-0 team wipe after and amazing defense from Fnatic. Fnatic rushes to the Core for a strong victory in game 1.

Game 2.

Map: Sky Temple

Bans: Illidan, Malfurion, Tychus, Chen

MVP Black Draft: Li-Ming(Sake), Muradin(Sign), Kharazim(Merryday), Zeratul(Rich), Abathur(Kyocha)

Fnatic Draft: E.T.C.(Breez), Falstad(Quakniix), Greymane(Schwimpi), Dehaka(Wubby), Brightwing(SmX)

Temples spawn at 1:30 and Fnatic and MVP black battle of the mid temple trading channel time back and forth. Fnatic wins out and takes the final temple shots at 2:39. 3:10 MVP takes control or top temple while Fnatic soaks the lanes. Fnatic takes out the bottom fountain at 3:38 in preparation for the next temple. Bottom temple spans at 5:40 and Fnatic takes control of the temple. 6:15 the temple takes out the bottom fort and Fnatic takes a one level lead with still no kills. 5 person void prison at 7:29 and a fight breaks out with no kills on either side. The temples spawn mid and bottom at 8:35. Fnatic and MVP each take one temple and MVP and Fnatic both lose middle Fort. 9:12 Dehaka catches Zeratul who promptly dies in a 3v1. Temple takes out MVP’s top Fort. Temples spawn at the 12:00 minute mark at top and bottom. Both teams take one temple and Greymane gets killed at 13:07 while MVP Black loses its bottom keep and Fnatic loses both of its forts. 13:52 MVP Black takes the boss.  One temple spawns at 14:10. A big team fight breaks out in bottom lane as the temple spawns but neither side loses a hero. A big fight breaks out at the 15:58 mark and Fnatic take a 2-0 team fight.  Fnatic tries to push on the core at 16:20 but is stalled out by void prison. MVP takes the top temple completely and takes out Fnatics top keep. Big team fight breaks out in MVP’s base at 17:55 and Fnatic takes out Muradin then Kharazim. Li-Min dies at 19:13 trying to stall out Fnatic from defending core pressure. Fnatic foes for boss at 19:36. Giant mosh pit on boss and Fnatic takes the boss and marches to the core at the 20:00 minute mark. Zeratul dies in the chaos and Fnatic takes game 2.

Game 3.

Map: Towers of Doom

Bans: ETC, Illidan, Valla, Dehaka

MVP Black Draft: Greymane(Sake), Muradin(Sign), Rehgar(Merryday), Medivh(Rich), Abathur(Kyocha)

Fnatic Draft: Johanna(Breez), Falstad(Quakniix), Tychus(Schwimpi), Tyreal(Wubby), Brightwing(SmX)

First temples spawn and at 2:20 a fight breaks out. Fnatic takes a 2-0 Team fight along with two altars for a 36-32 lead. Both teams are at level 7 and the next temple spawns at 4:45. Fnatic takes the temple at 5:19 and takes a 36-28. A temple spawns at 7:25. At 7:48 Tyrael pops sanctification to esure a temple cap for Fnatac who takes a 36-24 lead. 8:43 MVP takes the bottom fort. Temples spawn at the 10:05 mark and Fnatic keeps a 31-20 lead and takes back the bottom fort. 3 Temples spawn at 13:15 then Greymane dies at 13:50 and Fnatic takes a 27-12 lead. Tyrael dies at 15:44 and MVP Black takes the boss. Fnatic leads 23-12. Temple fight breaks out at 16:05.  Falstad dies at 17:40 and MVP takes both temples closing the gap with Fnatic still in the lead 15-12. Tychus then Tyrael goes down at 19:38 and Fnatic loses the bottom Fort. MVP takes all forts and a temple at 19:55 and takes a 12-3 lead. 21:40 MVP takes the boss and wins match 3.

Game 4.

Map: Braxis Holdout

Bans: Alarak, Malfurion, Rexxar, Lt. Morales

MVP Black Draft: Gul’dan(Sake), Muradin(Sign), Auriel(Merryday), Leoric(Rich), Falstad(Kyocha)

Fnatic Draft: E.T.C.(Breez), Jaina(Quakniix), Medivh(Schwimpi), Chen(Wubby), Tyrande(SmX)

Start at :16 seconds and Fnatic blows up Muradin. Beacons spawn at the 2:00 minute mark. Falstad is killed at the 4:12 mark. Leoric gets killed at the 4:39 mark. At the 6:30 there have been a lot of back and forth trades of the beacon in which has resulted in a Fnatic 60% to 6% lead. Fnatic takes a 2-0 team fight at 8:36 and follows up by channeling the beacons to make it 60%to 72%. A snipe from Jaina takes down Guldan at 9:52. First zerg wave at 10:21 with Fnatic winning 100% to 60%. Fnatic pushes out the bottom fort at 10:43. 12:34 Fnatic sneaks the boss which start pushing top. Muradin dies at 13:31 and shortly after Auriel dies at 13:53  as the beacons spawn. 14:37 Fnatic takes a 100% to 0 Zerg wave. Auriel dies at 15:28 during the push and shortly after Muradin dies as MVP loses its top Keep. 16:02 and Fnatic takes the bottom keep. Leoric dies at 16:54 while Fnatic takes a camp. Leoric dies at 18:12 on the fight for the Beacon that spawns then Auriel Falstad and Guldan all die. Fnatic pushes the core at 18:55  and take the series in a huge upset!
