HGC 2017 Begins This Friday

by - 7 years ago

The Heroes Global Championship is back and better than ever!

This year the HGC features a new league format where the eight best teams in each region will compete against each other in a ten week season in order to earn a spot in the Mid-Season Brawl. Along the way the there will also be an Eastern and a Western Brawl, which will pit the top three teams from North America, Europe, China, and Korea against representatives from Latin America, Australia/New Zealand, South East Asia, and Taiwan.

For North America and Europe the action begins this weekend, while the teams from China and Korea will begin their season in the coming weeks.

You can watch all of these best of five matches live on the Official Heroes of the Storm Twitch Channel, or you can catch up on all the action on the new and improved HGC website. The site has been completely revamped and now includes schedules, standings, previews, match results, feature articles, and game VODs along with much more. It is truly a one stop portal for all of your Heroes of the Storm eSports needs so you should definitely check it out. Here is a quick overview of the new HGC format and this article is a great preview of the European teams and their players. I am sure there will be a similar preview of North American teams shortly, so be sure to check the new site regularly.

Whether you watch it live, catch the VODs, or just read about it you won’t want to miss the 2017 HGC.
