Welcome to the Opening Ceremony for Blizzcon 2017 everyone! I’m going to be covering what will be discussed for our favorite MOBA, Heroes of The Storm. This is going to be a bit of a live reaction on my part. I’m super excited to cover the Heroes of the Storm portion of this Blizzcon.

Kaeo comes out to the stage, welcoming everyone. A few jokes come out as he introduces himself. He’s talking about expanding HOTS since Heroes 2.0. I’m inclined to agree with him right now. Now is talking about the new content that they’ve released since last blizzcon alone, almost doubling the maps. Claims “We’re not done yet.”

Gets really excited about the upcoming cinematic for the new heroes! People are running AND ITS ALEXSTRAZZA AND HANZO.

This is a sick showdown, Hanzo firing arrows at Alex, seems to be surprised when she catches an arrow. They exchange some banter and Alex jumps off the cliff. Dragon time baby! Hanzo seems nonplussed as he jumps away from Alex’s assault and fires an arrow that seems to annoy her. Another arrow storm from Hanzo does nothing but annoy her, she fires a shot at the bridge she’s on and he jumps to safety. Here comes the Hanzo ult and actually does some damage to alex, but now he’s gotta worry about a dragon falling on him. She falls down and he jumps down with her. Tells her to yield and she goes back to human form. Seems impressed with him. Says he’s ready for anything, reveals the map to show a new battleground? This looks like a new battleground.

Cut back to Kaeo and he begins talking about the cinematic. The map was Dragon Shire now that I look at it. Begins talking about Alex, and how she’s going going to play. Trait will be “Dragon Queen” which turns her into a dragon. Now talking about Hanzo mains and how he’s going to be a sniper.

More news for heroes. New heroes getting showed off here. Hanzo up first. Shows the ultimate, huge range, seems lava wave esquse. Alex now being showed off, this is what Chromie should have been. Seems has an ground aoe heal, the dragon form is HUGE, seems to be able to bomb people from on high with an ult. A few new skins, including elf Hanzo and we seem to be good with that video.

OH LORD. You’re now detached possibly from bad teammates with performance based matchmaking. Which will be based on your individual performance. This is super exciting. Kaeo introduces Ben Brode for Hearthstone and that wraps it up for the Heroes section. Some incredible things coming to heroes. Including new camera, performance based match making, voice chat, laning improvements, stealth rework, evolved battleground mechanics.
